Bryce has been busy working away on the deck, tonight the railing has started to go up, it's very exciting! His goal is to have it done by this Friday, we are having a BBQ with our parents to celebrate his birthday and finishing our deck. I was able to convince him to take a break for a few minutes on Saturday and put up new lights on the front of the house that we purchased with a Lowe's gift card from Bryce's aunt and uncle. Here are the original lights. They haven't worked since we moved in, and we couldn't even get the light bulbs out. Our house was very dark compared to everyone else on the street:
Paul was over helping of course, and if you haven't seen him in a while, don't worry he hasn't grown a crazy mullet, he just found this and a plastic gold pedant that says "winner" in our garage. He decided to wear it around and proceeded to golf like this in the front yard. I'll share those pictures in another post!
Here are the new lights!
Now our house is bright and safe like all the other houses in the neighborhood!

An Addition
Since we purchased this house of ours we have been talking about an addition. It's a great house of course, and we love it, but we have just always felt like something is missing. We know that adding this addition will be a lot of work, but we have talked about it and decided that this is really the best time.
Our new addition will be joining us in April of 2010 :)

It was an awesome weekend! I headed to Helena with my good friend Megan to attend Shawna's bachelorette party, while Bryce made plans to spend the weekend at our house. WORKING. Have I told you how much I love him? :) This pile right here, this is our deck. If you haven't heard about our deck saga, it starts with us planning to paint it, then plans to do part of it, then maybe trex, oh no way too expensive, and now, now we decided to redo the WHOLE THING!!! In beautiful redwood! Can you feel my excitement?!?
While Bryce was working on the deck we were at the bar with this pretty lady...
While Bryce removed the entire top of the deck...
I wore Shawna's bra over my shirt...in a bar.
While Bryce tore down all the railing...
I was out on the town with two of my favorite people...
I CANNOT wait to show you the final product (the deck and the wedding!) but I have been sworn to secrecy (about the deck of course) until it's totally done. Currently we have most of a deck, but no rails and no stairs. Bryce has plans to continue working on the deck this weekend, and this time I will be around to help!

Summer Around Ione
Ione is my favorite place to be in the summer, for a small town there is a lot to do! The festivities started last weekend with Down River Days. On Friday night mom and I always participate in Crazy Lady Softball. Here we are gearing up to play!
Mom does a great job in the outfield as you can see, having a drink and conversation.
On Saturday we headed to the lake to hang out with some friends, Paul and Bryce decided a bottle of whiskey was in order, here is Bryce at 7:00 p.m. He stayed like this until 10:00, hehe!
On Sunday morning we went to the park and enjoyed the "fair" food and booths and watched some snowmobiles cross the river.
Back in Spokane for the week, Bryce got this awesome picture of the sunset. It looks like one of those pictures that would be on an inspirational poster about God.
With camping coming up the following weekend Bryce and Paul went to work setting up the new tent. We wanted to make sure we knew what we were doing before we got to camp.
I had to lay down inside to check out the view through all the netting on top.
Well Done boys!
Finally, camping at Sullivan Lake! We arrived on Friday night and stayed until Sunday. Our friend Josh joined us and here he is towing the kids around on the kayak.
We spent two whole days in the beautiful sun. A few sunburns later we realized we had too much fun!
On our night to make dinner Bryce and Josh made Dutch Oven peach cobbler. It was amazing!
Now we are back in Spokane and back to the real-world. We have been so busy with all our fun summer activities I haven't been on here in a while and we definitely haven't done much with the house in a while (including cleaning it). I still have more pictures to share, so hopefully I will get those up in the next couple of days!
