We have a bathtub! Yay! Unfortunately we had to hire help, BOO. This is the first time that we have had to hire someone though, so really with all the work we have done in the past year and half that is pretty good. There was no easy access to the drain for the tub so it took a very nice plumber and a little $$$ to get this installed properly. He did let Bryce help though so we didn't have to pay for an assistant plumber, which I'm sure saved us quite a bit of $$. So here it is, the newest addition to our sad little bathroom. Bryce has plans involving some sheetrock and concrete board today, so hopefully I will have more bathroom improvement pictures soon.

Still tile...
The TILE saga continues. I found tile at both Tile Outlet and Great Floors that I liked very much. The tile from Great Floors I maybe loved just a little, but it was $3.16 a square foot. The guy (whom I also bought my carpet from) told me he could give ma deal and get us in the $2.00 range. Bryce wasn't super impressed with that price either so I agreed to continue looking and see if we could find a better price. This is when we found out we have a membership to ProSource through Bryce's work, YAY!!! So he went to ProSource while I tried to make a sick baby take a nap, and came back with the exact SAME tile that was $3.16 at Great Floors for $1.98!!! WHOO-HOO!!! Then today our awesome neighbor who tiles for a living came over and brought me one of his catalogs, he told me he can get us the "at cost" price on tile. So now I am hoping to find the same tile I have already picked out for an even better deal. So today we are thankful for super awesome neighbors and patience in buying tile.
Bryce also found us a new-to-us pocket door from the building supply store in town. It is a solid core door which is awesome, and it just needs some re-painting to work for our house. I am hoping the solid core door won't bang around as much as the hollow one did. The guy at the store asked "who uses pocket doors anymore?" Apparently just us, since whoever had this very nice door in their house removed it.

TILE
We spent 2.5 hours at Lowe's the other night...in the tile aisle. 2.5 HOURS...with a baby. He's such a good baby though, he got fussy for a while, he needed to eat, and since I really didn't want to go to the car I did some ingenious nursing using a cloth diaper to cover his face and I'm pretty sure no one was the wiser, and if so, whatever, the kid needs to eat and I need to pick some flippin' tile. Which I did, and then I got it home...and now I don't really like it. When I finally had the guts to explain this to Bryce he tried to kill me with his eyes. I was prepared though so I shielded myself. He has agreed to return the tile and let mom and I continue looking this weekend. Fortunately we aren't ready to tile just yet, and I really want to walk in the bathroom and say "I LOVE IT!" not "meh, I guess it works." Which Bryce does understand. So now I will be off to "Tile Outlet" in hopes of finding tile for the floor and the shower for a reasonable price, one that does not result in another death defying act of avoiding Bryce's killer eyes.

"Anything Dropped in the Bathroom Falls in the Toilet"
We recently got a Flip Video camera so that we can video our adorable baby :) But I took this quick video of the demolition of my bathroom, and I thought you might all enjoy it as well. We took out the tub over the weekend only to discover the moisture is also in the floor. So new sub-floor will be needed as well as new tile throughout. So today we are going to a building supply store to hopefully (fingers crossed) find tile at a reasonable price so that we can do the shower and the floor. Oh joy.
